TAFI Research Group researches in advanced manufacturing technologies and processes, to optimize and improve operations. The main focus is on machining and monitoring.
INSPECTION
TAFI Research Group researches in inspection techniques applied to production. In particular, coordinate metrology and inspection planning with automated machines are the focus of the works. Also, computer vision techniques applied to monitoring of processes are a main aspecxt of the developed research.
INTEGRATION
TAFI Research Group works specifically in concurrent engineering and integration of product and process information across product development cycle. Special interest is in knowledge based engineering and ontology definition in production.
